Arts and crafts style peacock bowl, hand thrown pottery
This fanciful peacock surounded by curving foliage was inspired by the work of William De Morgan and the arts and crafts movement. This is handthown and carved freehand in stoneware pottery and the pattern painted in translucent glazes to highlight the carving against a soft satin cream background. Then finished off with a rich purple on the outside. The result is a unique bowl that combines bueaty and function. All the work on this website is individually produced by me in my home studio. Stoneware is a strong, high fired pottery, it is food, dishwasher and microwave safe. 23cm wide 7cm high.
