Arts and crafts style bird bowl, hand thrown pottery
This fansiful bird was inspired by the tile designs of William De Morgan from the arts and crafts movement. This is handthown and carved freehand in stoneware pottery and the pattern painted in translucent glazes to highlight the carving against a soft satin cream background. THen finished off with a rich purple on the outside. The results are both beautiful and unique. All the work on this website is individually produced by me in my home studio. Stoneware is a strong, high fired pottery, it is food, dishwasher and microwave safe. 18cm wide 3.5cm high.
